Today's stupid headline: Heather Mills joins Dancing with the stars
February 22nd 2007 02:57
The soon-to-be-ex-Mrs Paul McCartney, Heather Mills, has joined the next group of celebrities who will strut their stuff on the US version of Dancing with the Stars.
The show's home, ABC America, announced today that the 39 year old social activist will be the first contestant on the show to compete with an artificial limb. An interesting fact for the network to highlight. Does this mean they are an equal opportunity network?
Competing on 'Dancing' will probably be a walk in the park after the nasty divorce and dirty laundry that has been hounding the ex model. She'll be competing against the likes of Billy Ray Cyrus (Will he dance to Achy Breaky Heart?), former 'N Sync member Joey Fatone and Muhammad Ali's daughter, Laila Ali.
It's strange that the ex-model, after the past year of nasty headlines and a very public divorce would choose 'Dancing' as her career move. Heather's sister has a website: heathermills.org, which just talks about how everyone needs to leave her sister alone. Isn't appearing on a dancing show where you are just setting yourself up for public ridicule a slightly bizarre choice?
Not really headline news (even thought that's where I found it), but entertaining none the less. Do you think she'll dance to any Beatles or Wings tunes?
