And who would have been surprised to see that he hired the same call girl involved in the Spitzer scandal?
Who is surprised that Anna Nicole died of a drug overdose or that there would be a paternity suit over the custody of her daughter.
Who is surprised when Britney turns up drunk or drugged out in public, or sent back to rehab. (or Lindsey Lohan and any other hollywood name for that matter).
The headlines of major news websites are emblazoned with sex scandals of politicians and actors, but really it's a sad state of affairs that the media dictate the terms of the trash that we have to read.
I don't want to hear anymore about Britney Spears decline into self despair, just as I didn't want to hear about Anna Nicole Smith.
The only way we the public can be spared watching these train wrecks is if we stop buying and reading the awful rubbish which the media keep shoving down our throats.
Hence I won't tell you any details about Charlie Sheen's or Eliot Spitzer's sex life. I won't click on the link. Maybe some of you readers out there won't either.
Every once in a while I need to get go on a tirade and get all this off my chest. I hope you understand. I'll get back to more interesting and meaningful news items next time!
