Penske Saturn deal is a bad one

Penske buys Saturn but deal will not work nor
stimulate the economy ....
"Built" in America is not same as "Made" in the USA!
There is a big difference between the two while the media mixes it all together
when reporting about production and trade.
Based on article from the Cleveland Plain Dealer buinsess pages.
Frank Bentayou's article about the Penske/Saturn deal in the business section
was a good article but Penske should know the deal will not work if the engines, transmissions, other components and parts come from overseas. I am a Saturn
owner and it is one of the best cars I have ever owned but I bought it because
it was made in the USA.
Someone should tell Penske about Henry Ford. Ford said workers must make
enough money to afford the things they make.
If all the components come from outside the USA, how can the 13,000
Saturn jobs be saved? What good is a assembly plant like Honda in Indiana
that has 5,000 workers which not only replaced thousands of other auto
workers but also knocked out 20,000 auto parts workers in Indiana. It does not
make any sense and I predict another government bailout will be needed
in the future, as a reverse tariff to fill the voids left by an
economy based on making money on money instead of making things. If
workers can not afford to buy the things they make, it is a no win situation.
Only local value added economies work. We need to restore the awesome
industrial might that won World War 2 and the reversed the effects of
the Great Depression. If we ignore this history, we will have to repeat
the same thing all over again. No nation can survive by moving its production
accross the world. The money spent at retail does not stay in the country to
regrow its own economy
