The last hurrah !

Local governments do not know where to find the money to provide all the services, people expect and need. On top of this, there are government workers who are labeled as ' Double dippers' who retire and take their pensions and then go back to a same or similar positions. They get paid twice for the same or similar jobs. Everyone knows that this can not go on much longer, but few in government challenge the process.
Government workers are now out on the limb
On a larger scale many private sector workers whose pension plans went bankrupt now have their pensions paid by the Federal Insurance program. The program has no money left for others who lose their pensions. So many in the private sector will lose their pensions. The government workers who are next in line to feel the effects of free trade. Free trade has deflated the value of labor and workers in the private sector and government workers will soon feel the same loss.
It is obvious that many government jobs will soon change to contract and temporary workers jobs following what happened in the private sector. As in the private sector, government pension plans will become a premium that only a few will be able to enjoy.
The funny money monopoly games in the global economic arena have failed.
The money changers failed to create new money products to supplement the
value of workers and labor. Public sector government workers unions are
next in line to take the economic big hit. The production workers unions
took the big hit years ago. The retail and service unions are fighting
an uphill battle to raise the income standards in their sector. Many
retail workers need government and/or private agencies help to survive.
Generally, most workers are shopping their way out of their jobs in order to make ends meet. And the underground economy is growing as desparate workers are seeking new ways to survive outside the box.
The bottom line is this: The largest employers in many major cities are
federal, state, county and local government workers plus boards of
education. It is impossible for a vast working poor class to support all
these services. We can debate who's wrong and who's right but it is
obvious the next in line to take the big hit is government workers. They
are the last line of resistance in our economic fall out in a free trade
world.
