The World's News - The hard facts about the the global economic arena

Free Trade is not trade. It is primarily about moving production from place to place anywhere in the world for the sake of cheaper labor. The value of workers and labor has been degraded and deflated. This represents trillions of dollars lost in the process

Going Local !

Reshoring is reasonable economics
Jul 10, 2010 ... Now local economies are realizing what they lost due to Free Trade and are ... more than 32 percent of the dollars in town, by buying from local enterprises....
REASONABLE ECONOMICS

We feature Tapsearch Top Picks for local and worldwide businesses and professionals and we do not usually do it for politicians. However, in our region, we are going to a new county government system with a county council. In my district, we have a candidate who is not burden by being a poltical expert and someone who has a common sense approach to restoring our local economy and communities. He has real world work experience as a restoration specialist in his own business.

Tapsearch Top Pick for County Council - John Zappala

In doing the web site, I found that this is something that should be news worldwide. It seems to be a turing point where many buying local programs are being promoted. As noted above more than 32 percent of the dollars spent in a town by shopping at local enterprises is re-invested quickly in a local community. This points out that when money is spent at the retail level, it quickly fans out to where the products are made or grown. With the big box stores this means that the money goes not only outside of the country but outside the local community. We have written for years that only local value added economies in balanced community settings work. Now with so many workers losing their jobs and others now part of a new working poor class, people around the world in cities and towns are thinking and acting local.

So, in doing the site featuring John Zappala as a Top Pick for a County Council seat, I added pages about exploring the ideals for restoring local economies.

It is all about common sense government and note the economical models from the past that should be pursued. Note too - Then and Now- Exploring economic models in a back in a back to the future mode.
